Jill Simpson

Jill's background is in the charity sector; after graduating from Edinburgh University she worked for a public health charity and then spent a few years in London working in international development before moving home to Scotland when expecting her first child. Since then, Jill has been a stay-at-home mum to her two daughters and has experience caring for young children at her church crèche and at the local playgroup. She has been a Safeguarding tutor, training sports coaches and Sunday school teachers in child protection. Jill is a member of the PVG scheme, is insured and is trained in baby and child first aid. She also holds a current child protection certificate.

Catherine Bowman

Catherine is a mum of two boys and has been a registered childminder since 2014. She currently cares for children aged 3 to 11yrs in the Bonaly/Colinton area. Catherine is a member of the SCMA (Scottish Childminding Association) and has completed training in GIRFEC (Getting It Right for Every Child), Child Led Planning and Outdoor Play. Before that, she spent time as a ICT tutor for pre-school children in Edinburgh nurseries. She is a fully qualified baby massage instructor and facilitated baby massage courses for a Midlothian charity. Catherine is a member of the PVG scheme, is trained in paediatric first aid and has insurance. She also holds a current child protection certificate.
